"Minitonas" is a Salteaux or Ojibwa word meaning

"Isolated Hill" or "Home of the little gods"

Minitonas is an attractive vibrant rural community located in close proximity to the Duck Mountains, a veritable paradise of wilderness, lakes and rivers offering a multitude of recreational opportunity and enterprise. Attractive neighbourhoods, quality affordable housing, excellent schools, several churches, an array of services and amenities, make Minitonas an attractive community for young and growing families and an excellent retirement community for seniors.

Whether you are proud to call Minitonas home, looking for a new place to live in or begin a new business, or looking for a place to visit or vacation in, we welcome you to our website. Enjoy the tour!
